You decide it is as good of a time as any to try and see what you're dealing with. You may have been here a lot, but it was mostly just being taken here and being escorted out. You know where the important stuff is, but aren't as sure about things like: "How many guards are here at one time", "Where do the guards like to be stationed", "Why am I making this a list with quotes".
Ignore that last thought, honestly. That felt way too out of left field.
Anyway.
You tell Mikala to just hang back and shut the hell up.
She nods her head, and of course does not listen.
Seriously how is she not in prison more often? Why is she like this?
You growl, then you both look into the next hallway. You keep your foot firmly planted in front of her so she can't just jump out into the hallway or anything. You do have to admit she is wildly strong, but she also got taken down by an amount of Subjuggulators that you are unsure of, and you do not need to try and fight these guys bare-handed.
As you peek around the corner, you notice a single Subjuggulator walking down the hall, not seeming to be paying attention to anything. You also notice that the hall they are walking down seems to be getting way darker. You don't remember that being normal, but they lighting could also be going out. How often do they change the bulbs, another piece of information you have no idea about.
You can feel Mikala getting antsy, as she realizes there's just one Subjuggulator here. That doesn't mean there aren't others close nearby though.
What will you do?
